What we believe

 1. 성경

신구약 성경은 하나님의 말씀이며 신앙과 삶에 대하여 정확무오(正確無誤)한 유일(唯一)의 법칙이다.

2. 하나님

하나님은 한 분뿐이시니 오직 그만 경배한다. 하나님은 신(神)이시니 스스로 계시고 계시지 않은 곳이 없으시며 다른 신과 모든 물질과 구별되신다. 그 존재(存在)와 지혜와 권능과 거룩하심과 공의와 인자하심과 진실하심과 사랑하심이 무한하시며 변하지 않으신다.

3. 삼위일체

하나님의 본체(本體)에 세 위(位)가 계시니 성부, 성자, 성령이신데 이 세 위는 한 하나님이시다. 본체는 하나요, 권능과 영광이 동등(同等)하시다.

4. 창조와 섭리

하나님께서 천지만물을 그 권능의 말씀으로 창조하사 보존하시고 주장하신다. 그는 모든 것을 자기 뜻의 계획대로 행하신다. 만유(萬有)는 다 하나님의 착하시고 지혜롭고 거룩하신 목적을 성취하도록 역사하시며 결코 죄를 내신 이는 아니시다.

5. 인간

하나님이 사람을 남녀로 지으시되 자기의 형상대로 지식과 의와 거룩함으로 지으사 생물(生物)을 주관하게 하셨으니, 세상 모든 사람이 한 근원에서 나왔은즉 다 동포요 형제다.

6. 인간의 죄

우리의 시조(始祖)가 선과 악을 택할 자유능(自由能)이 있었는데 시험을 받아 하나님께 범죄했기 때문에 아담으로부터 보통 생육법(生育法)에 의해 출생하는 모든 인간은 그의 범죄에 동참하여 타락하였다. 사람의 원죄(原罪)와 부패한 성품 외에 스스로 짓는 죄도 있은즉 모든 사람이 금세와 내세에 하나님의 공평한 진노와 형벌을 받는 것이 마땅하다.

7. 예수 그리스도

인류의 죄와 그 형벌에서 구원하시고 영생을 주시려고 하나님의 무한하신 사랑으로 그의 영원하신 독생자 주 예수그리스도를 세상에 보내셨다. 오직 예수 그리스도를 통해서만 사람이 구원을 얻을 수 있다. 그 영원한 아들이 참사람이 되사 그는 영원토록 참 하나님이시요, 참 사람이시다. 그는 성령의 권능으로 잉태하사 동정녀 마리아에게 났으되 오직 죄는 없는 분이시다. 예수 그리스도는 죄인을 대신하여 하나님의 법에 완전히 복종하시고 몸을 드려 참되고 온전한 제물이 되사 하나님의 공의를 만족하게 하시며 사람으로 하여금 하나님과 화목하게 하시려고 십자가(十字架)에 못 박혀 죽으시고 죽은 자 가운데서 3일 만에 부활하사 하나님 우편에 오르시고 그 백성을 위하여 기도하시다가 죽은 자를 살리시고 세상을 심판하려 재림하신다.

8. 성령

성부와 성자로부터 오신 성령께서 인생으로 구원에 참여하게 하시나니 인생으로 죄와 비참을 깨닫게 하시며, 그 마음을 밝혀 그리스도를 알게 하시고, 그 의지를 새롭게 하시고, 권하시며 권능을 주어 예수 그리스도를 받게 하시며, 또 그 안에서 역사하여 모든 의의 열매를 맺게 하신다.

9. 구원

하나님께서 세상 모든 사람에게 온전한 구원을 값없이 주시려고 말씀하시기를 너희 죄를 회개하고 주 예수 그리스도를 자기의 구주로 믿고 의지하여 본받으며 하나님의 나타내신 뜻(말씀)을 복종하여 겸손하고 거룩하게 행하라 하셨으니 그리스도를 믿고 복종하는 자는 구원을 얻는다. 이것은 성령께서 우리를 거룩하게 하심으로 이루어지는데 성령께서 우리에게 은혜 베푸시는 방법은 특별히 성경 말씀과 성례와 기도다.

10. 성례

그리스도께서 세우신 성례(聖禮)는 세례와 성찬이다. 세례는 물을 가지고 그리스도 안에서 신앙을 고백하는 자와 그들의 자녀들에게 베푸는 것인데, 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 씻음이니 우리가 그리스도와 하나가 되는 표적과 인(印)침이며 성령으로 거듭남과 새롭게 하심과 주께 속한 것임을 약속하는 것이다. 주의 성찬은 그리스도의 죽으심을 기념하여 떡과 잔에 참여하는 것이니 믿는 자가 예수 그리스도의 죽으심으로 말미암아 유익을 받는 것을 인쳐 증거하는 표다. 성찬은 주께서 오실 때까지 주의 백성이 행할지니 주를 믿고 그 속죄제를 의지함과 거기서 나는 유익을 받음과 더욱 주를 섬기기로 약속함과 주와 및 여러 성도들과 더불어 교통하는 표다. 성례의 유익은 오직 그리스도의 복 주심과 믿음으로써 성례를 받는 자 가운데 계신 성령의 행하심으로 말미암음이다.

11. 성도(교회)

모든 성도의 본분은 서로 교제하며, 그리스도의 성례와 그 밖의 법례(法例)를 지키며, 주의 법을 복종하며, 항상 기도하며, 주일을 거룩하게 지키며, 주를 경배하기 위하여 함께 모여 주의 말씀을 자세히 들으며, 하나님께서 저희로 하여금 풍성하게 하심을 좇아 헌금하며, 그리스도의 마음으로 서로 사랑하며, 또한 모든 이웃에게도 그와 같이 하여 그리스도의 나라가 온 세상에 확장되기 위하여 힘쓰며, 주께서 영광 가운데서 나타나심을 바라고 기다리는 것이다.

12. 영생과 영벌

죽은 자가 끝날에 부활함을 받고 그리스도의 심판하시는 보좌 앞에서 이 세상에서 선악 간 행한 바를 따라 보응(報應)을 받을 것이다. 그리스도를 믿고 복종한 자는 영광 중에 영접을 받아 영생에 이르지만, 믿지 않고 악을 행한 자는 정죄함을 입어 그 죄에 대한 영원한 형벌을 받는다. 

 1. Bible

The Old and New Testaments are the word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and life.

2. God

There is only one God, and He alone is to be worshipped. God is holy spirit, self-existent and omnipresent, distinct from all gods and matter. His existence, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and love are infinite and unchanging.

3. Trinity

In the essence of God, there are three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, yet they are one God. The essence is singular, their power and glory equal.

4. Creation and Providence

God created the heavens and the earth and all things therein by His powerful Word, sustaining and governing all. He accomplishes all things according to His plan. All creation serves His good, wise, and holy purposes, without being the author of sin.

5. Human

God created man in His own image, male and female, endowed with knowledge, righteousness, and holiness, to have dominion over living creatures. All people in the world come from one source, so they are all compatriots and brothers.

6. Human Sin

Our first ancestor had the freedom to choose between good and evil, but was tempted and sinned against God. Therefore, all humans born from Adam according to the natural course of birth inherit their sin and fall. In addition to man's original sin and corrupt nature, there are also sins he commits, and therefore all people deserve to receive God's righteous wrath and punishment both in this life and in the life to come.

7. Jesus Christ

Out of His infinite love, God sent His eternal only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, into the world to save mankind from their sins and the punishment and give them eternal life. Salvation is obtained solely through Jesus Christ. The eternal Son became true man, and he is true God and true man forever. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary, but He is without sin. Jesus Christ completely obeyed God's law on behalf of sinners and offered himself as a true and perfect sacrifice to satisfy God's justice and reconcile people to God by being crucified and rising from the dead. After three days, he was resurrected, ascended to the right hand of God, intercedes for His people, and will return to resurrect the dead and judge the world.

8. Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, proceeding from the Father and the Son, enables people to participate in salvation, makes them aware of sin and misery, enlightens their hearts to know Christ, renews their will, encourages them, and gives them power to receive Jesus Christ. He also works within him to produce the fruit of all righteousness.

9. Salvation

God wants to freely give complete salvation to all people in the world by commanding repentance from sins, faith in and rely on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, and obedience to Christ. Those who believe in and obey Christ will be saved. This is achieved by the Holy Spirit sanctifying us, and the ways in which the Holy Spirit gives grace to us are especially through the words of the Bible, sacraments, and prayer.

10. Sacrament

The sacraments established by Christ are baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is given with water to those who profess faith in Christ and their children. It is a washing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is a sign and seal of our becoming one with Christ, and we are reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit. It is a promise that we belong to the Lord.The Lord's Supper is participation in the bread and cup in remembrance of Christ's death, and it is a seal that testifies that believers benefit from the death of Jesus Christ. The Holy Communion is to be performed by the Lord's people until the Lord comes. It is a sign of believing in the Lord and relying on the sin offering, receiving benefits from it, promising to serve the Lord more, and communicating with the Lord and other saints.The benefit of the sacrament comes only from the blessing of Christ and the action of the Holy Spirit in those who receive the sacrament through faith.

11. Saints (Church)

The duty of all saints is to fellowship with one another, observe the sacraments of Christ and other ordinances, obey the law of the Lord, pray always, keep the Lord's Day holy, gather together to worship the Lord and listen closely to the Word of the Lord, love one another with Christ's love, love all neighbors, and strive to spread the kingdom of Christ throughout the world, hoping and waiting for the Lord to appear in glory.

12. Eternal life and eternal punishment

The dead will be resurrected at the end of days and will receive retribution before the Christ's judgment throne according to their good and evil deeds in this life. Those who believe and obey Christ will be received in glory and will attain eternal life, but those who disbelieved and committed evil will be condemned and receive eternal punishment for their sins.
